My name is Rosa Silva, and I am the proprietor and manager of Childbestdays.
My passion for early years education began in 1992, when I became a mother for the first time. Since then, nurturing and supporting children’s growth has been at the heart of everything I do. I began my professional journey as a nursery assistant in Portugal before moving to England and becoming a registered childminder in 2007.
In December 2011, I was proud to be awarded “Outstanding in all areas” by Ofsted while running my childminding service alongside my husband. This recognition inspired me to grow my vision and offer high-quality care to more children and families.
Today after all this time I remain deeply committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where every child can bloom.

At Childbestdays, we take pride in being a small, family-run nursery with a truly homely and personal feel. Our setting is warm, welcoming, and calm — a place where children feel safe, loved, and part of a close-knit family.
Unlike larger chain nurseries, our environment offers a gentler pace where children can grow and learn in their own time, supported by the same familiar faces each day. Our small team means that every child and parent is truly known and valued, allowing us to build strong, consistent relationships and a genuine sense of belonging.
Parents often tell us how much they appreciate the calm, family atmosphere, where children receive individual attention and care from staff who know them deeply. We pour our hearts into everything we do — this nursery isn’t just our workplace; it’s a reflection of our values, our family, and our passion for giving children the very best start in life.

We are quite literally a family-run nursery, and we take pride in creating a warm, welcoming environment where children see the same familiar faces every day. This consistency helps children feel safe, secure, and confident as they settle into nursery life.
Our staff (or family) take time to build caring, nurturing relationships with every child, giving them the confidence to explore, grow, and thrive. We also value strong partnerships with families, forming open and communicative relationships with parents to ensure every child feels supported both at home and within the nursery.
We are a small team of five dedicated staff members. Three of our practitioners are qualified at Level 3 or higher, and two are qualified at Level 2. Our team is always eager to develop professionally, staying up to date with the latest Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidance and best practices. Above all, we are passionate about giving every child the best possible start in life through high-quality care, play, and learning experiences.
