In our nursery we care for children aged 0 to 5 years. Children at the nursery have a fun filled day with a variety of activities and outings in a friendly and stimulating environment where they can play safely.

The curriculum followed in the setting is the EYFS 2021. We have a play based approach to children’s learning and development, either by planned (adult takes the lead) or unplanned activities (where we follow the children’s lead).

In our setting we operate the key person approach, each staff member has their key children, and we do this so each staff member can give the best possible support to the children to help and further their development.

We work closely with parents, keeping them informed of their children’s day. We have planned weekly activities that suit every child’s individual needs depending on their age and stage development.

We use the system babysday’s to communicate with parents, we all have protected information of the children’s (EYFS) development and next steps.

We offer 2 freshly and healthy made snacks for the children and 2 homemade and freshly cooked meals each day. We encourage baby weaning/baby lead with or without spoon depending on the child’s preference. Our approach to baby weaning is discussed with the parents/careers that will best suit their children’s needs and development. We have a dedicated staff member that is allocated to the housekeeper/Cook role, maintaining our high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
